Is your logo on a purchased product? Then you are a manufacturer under the GPSR — even if you make nothing.
The product safety regulation has been in force since December 2024 and is enforced in practice by marketplaces and customs, not by an inspector: those who fail to comply see their listing disappear or their shipment halted. This makes the pain acute in a way other regulations do not — it is not a fine after a year, it is revenue that stops today.
The surprise lies in the role. Anyone who sells products under their own name or brand is considered a manufacturer, with a risk analysis per product, technical documentation and six years of record-keeping. Most entrepreneurs think they are resellers. gpsria therefore starts with the question of what role you play, and is equally clear about what you do not need to do.

Four questions, and you know whether you are a manufacturer, importer, distributor or fulfilment service provider — with the obligations that come with it. In a drop-shipping arrangement it gives no answer, because that is the edge of the regulation and we do not guess there.

The mandatory information, per language, ready to use. In the Netherlands it must be in Dutch and on the page itself — a QR code pointing to it is not sufficient.

Can you be my responsible person in the EU?
No, deliberately not. That role means bearing liability for the product, and that is not a service we should be selling. We explain what the role entails and refer you to parties who do fulfil it.
Do you assess whether my product is safe?
No. Our templates structure your risk analysis; the conclusion is yours and the assessment is the supervisor's. We never declare anything "GPSR-proof".
My supplier says it is arranged. Is that enough?
Not without more. You must be able to demonstrate it, and "the supplier said so" is not a file. That is why traceability is in the product dossier.
